Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna launched by Honorable Prime Minisster of India Shri. Narender Modi on 8th April 2015. Under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna (PMMY), 3 types of loans are given from the bank such as Shishu, Kishor, Tarun, where Loan up to 10 lakh can be availed in Tarun category. The government of India established new organization called MUDRA (Micro Units Development & Refinance Agency Limited), which takes the responsibility for the development and refinancing small firm loans made under the PMMY programme. The present study focused on the state wise performance of the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna (PMMY) during the financial year 2020-21. The study also focused on the amount sanctioned and disbursed under this scheme. To evaluate the performance of last six years. The study disclosed the information regarding the number of accounts, amount sanctioned and amount disbursed state wise. Among all the state West Bengal leads and the least is Lakshadweep state. Though the number of accounts are maintained more in the state of Bihar but the amount sanctioned and disbursed was very less compared to the other states. The minimum number of accounts are maintained by Daman and Diu state. Therefore mudra yojana should be implemented in all the states and maintained properly to work effectively and efficiently so that, very individual will able to get the benefits of PMMY. In this context, the government in collaboration with banks should take the initiative to conduct different workshops or programmes to make every individual literate and provide the financial awareness to every individual on regular basis.
