Since past 20 years many of psychologists and sociologists have begun to study the psychology of rapists and rape. And the findings have shown that rape is a crime of violence, often regarded by the woman as a life-threatening act in which fear and humiliation are the dominant emotions. The early 1970s many women movement stared against rape, there has several excellent studies and books were published. These studies contain case studies and interviews with real rape victims. And they tried to give better explanations about complexities of rape. This article tries giving analytical explanations about rape. Many researchers’ tries to give answer that why rape happens? What are the causes for this behavior?.Some researchers tells that it’s a criminal activity..Some argues.. it happens because of excessive alcohol or drug use and some explains it’s not a normal tendency, due to psychological problem people do it. So finally what is responsible cause for this act? Is it a criminal act like robbery , murder or is it a psychological disorder?.
