Abstract:
Garbhini Paricharya refers to antenatal care which includes normal dietetics, mode of life of pregnant woman and month wise dietary regimen. It is defined as systemic supervision of a woman during pregnancy. Actually prenatal care is the care in continnum that starts before pregnancy and ends at delivery and the postpartum period. Masanumasic pathya and Garbhopaghatar bhav are main components of Garbhini Paricharya. Main importance of paricharya is to avoid complications during pregnancy, during labor and in postnatal period. This garbhini paricharya is described in various samhita ; it is not only unique but also scientific as modern medical sciences.
