Abstract:

The paper delves into how queer is the LGBT question in Indian context. It takes instances and examples from the classical texts and India's history to determine how the "Triya Prakriti" and its perception was changed after the British colonization of the Indian subcontinent and the Victorian moral codes changes the worldview of Indians.
