Finally, after the sacrifice of 107 people, a united Maharashtra was established on May 1, 1960. Just as Vidarbha joined Maharashtra with some conditions for development, Marathwada, which was already struggling for development, joined this state without any conditions for development. Marathwada came to be part of a united Maharashtra with the aim of being considered more in Maharashtra than under the Nizam's rule.
