Summary The objective of this research paper is to make people aware of the need and importance of human values in education. The present time is a time of great competition. At present, man is running after material things and in that race he is constantly neglecting human values, moral values, character values and spiritual values. In such a time of dire value crisis, education is the only tool that can take the society out of this situation. Human behavior is changed and refined through education. It is only through education that a person is able to understand the importance of Indian values that human values are the most important in life. Values are so important in our life that for them a person cannot compromise with anything else. Honesty, integrity, love, tolerance, happiness are some such values that a person wants to practice, achieve and spend his life with. Apart from these, respect, acceptance, consideration, appreciation, listening, affection, sympathy and love for all human beings are also important human values that every person should adopt in his life. But the goal of achieving all these human values can be possible only through education. Education is the only thing that transfers values and culture from one generation to another. In modern times, the need for these values is even greater. Due to the decline in values in the present times, there is a special need to include important human and moral values in the curriculum. This research paper discusses how human values can be spread in Indian society through education.
